Rather than Final Fantasy VII I would prefer to see elements of Agni's Philosophy turned into a Final Fantasy. Modern day weaponry + Magic and visceral potions were some of highlights for me. It would be interesting to see Final Fantasy that is also somewhat grounded in reality.
I really hope that they bundle similar games together. That would ultimately pull me into purchasing the Vita. I love it when companies embrace the idea that you are buying the game rather than the media it resides on.
Valve demonstrated such a stance when they released Portal 2 on the PS3. It came bundled with a digital copy of the PC version. When I discovered that I went straight out to buy it as it allowed me to enjoy the best of both worlds. Without sacrificing cont...
Just wanted to check, are free games only playable during the time you have a playstation plus account? Or is this promotion different from the past restrictions with the free content on playstation plus.
You and I are both in the same boat. I am through and through gamer, but college and soon to be graduate school prevents me from playing my huge back catalogue. I miss RPGs, but I never have enough time to finish one in reasonable amount of time anymore. I find myself playing a lot of the shorter games out there now.
Hopefully the summer will be productive for me in my gaming needs...
Once this game releases I will seriously have to consider purchasing a Vita finally (and pickup Lumines: Electronic Symphony while at it).
They better, or The Last Guardian will likely end up being the swan song of the PS3. Besides Japanese game studios should show off their work at their Tokyo Game Show.
Good concepts, I just hope the implementation is good. Hopefully developers have thought through how to use the controls more than they did when the Wii came out.
Nintendo needs to show more of these kind of games that will pull me into Wii U. I would never purchase multiplatform sequels that started on other consoles.
I love seeing the E3 gifs that are generated every year.
Just stumbled across the new bundle a couple hours ago. These bundles are always a great deal and it's nice to know where your money is going.
Fifa, Call of Duty, Usher, MADDEN?!?!
Don't know if sincere or if sarcastic. Everything besides Tomb Raider we know what to expect. It is very difficult to be excited about games that have changed little in each yearly iteration.
Besides the people who would appreciate only those sorts of games are likely not to have watched the conference.
Agreed BiggCMan
While every gamer out there loves console reveals, not every E3 can reveal a new console. I got to see some footage from several upcoming games that I am looking forward, so I am happy. Besides, next year the PS4 and NeXtbox will most likely revealed, so 2013 should not let down in the slightest. Even Nintendo will have to work as to keep the attention on their system by showing more games. Sounds like a good deal me.
Another thing that Sony needs to carefully consider is the next Xbox. Sony doesn't have to prove that their console will be more powerful than the Wii U. It is almost a given that Microsoft and Sony will have more powerful consoles. Games are going to be playing field between Sony and Nintendo.
Now between Microsoft and Sony there is also the hardware war in addition to the games. Reveal to soon and you might have the competitor making minor upgrades, but nonetheless ...
While everything looks amazing about this game, it is the camerawork and the details that really caught my attention. The camera never looked to be an obstacle to the gameplay, rather it seems to react in a way beneficial to the game. I don't know if that is just the careful planning of the demo or if it is the game just being really good, but kudos Naughty Dog you never cease to impress me.
While I don't expect really any improvements for the online network this generation, I have no doubt that when the PS4 comes out their network will exude the same quality Xbox Live emanates.
One thing in particular that I hope they embrace in the next generation is the view that the main OS can be fluid and can grow. The Xbox 360 dashboard we got back at the beginning of the generation looks nothing like the dashboard of today. While still stylish, the XcrossMediaBar ha...
I remember reading an article sometime after the 2011 E3 that estimated that the LCD controller wouldn't cost more than 50 bucks. While Nintendo won't go broke on the tablet controllers they won't be making the absurd amounts of profit off of traditional controllers that have huge mark-ups.
Besides, I don't think they ever intended to sell the tablet as a standalone, so it is more or less just part of the console price. Given that hardware won't be very ...
I hope Nintendo stays away from achievements or trophies. There is no doubt that they are addictive and are great feature to pull people into the online service, but trophies and achievements drain the fun out of games for me.
I honestly look at some games that I really want to play and decide to put them back for another time because of the colossal effort I would have to invest to complete the game. Pre-trophy games along with last generation games have been getting a l...

"There is a reason why both names, "Nintendo" and "Playstation", had once been used in place of "videogame console" all around."
That last sentence really shows how dominant Sony or Nintendo have been at one point.
The 3 day cycle in Majora's Mask was (to me) brilliant. While it felt very claustrophobic the first couple of times I ran through Termina, I began to see how that was able to craft a world that was quite dynamic. It was nice to see a world that didn't move completely to your will.
I still haven't played through the Lost Planet franchise yet, because that heat thing really threw me off also the first time I picked the game up. It sounds like I play things in a s...
The opposite might be more true. Koreans have a Blizzard fetish.
You would think a studio in Montreal would choose to represent Canada a little more.
